Signs of a Fuel Problem
- Unit cranks but won't fire, or takes several tries to start
- Runs rough or surges up and down
- Dies under load but restarts easier once it sits
- Recently fueled with diesel that may have sat a long time or picked up contamination
Signs of an Electrical Problem
- No crank at all, no sound or display activity when you try to start it
- Display flickers or goes dark intermittently
- Fuses blowing repeatedly
- Problem gets worse after hitting bumps or rough roads, pointing to a loose connection
